It's one of those days

Everything I've written seems so awful today. It's one of those days where nothing feels/looks/goes right. You just want to curl up in bed and try to start over tomorrow. Of course that's not going to happen so I have to try to keep moving forward and hope whatever this is passes soon and my head clears. Otherwise I'm going to have to start a total re-write. Not appealing at all.

The weather is great today though. Just a little too hot for my liking so I caved in and turned the a/c on for a little bit. At least I have something positive to hold onto. Always a good thing.

It's pretty bad that I'm blogging to avoid writing, I mean this is technically writing. I don't know maybe I'm just a little less self-conscious with this then I used to be.

So back to work I go...wish me luck!

Live from the laundry room

A twenty minute job really shouldn't be taking an hour, but here I am. The drain for the wash machine decided it was going to go on partial strike so in order to do a load of laundry I have to sit here and turn it off whenever the drain starts to overflow, wait for the water to go down, turn it back in, rinse, repeat.

It's really not how I pictured my afternoon but you do what you gotta do when you need clean clothes and towels. At least I have my laptop to keep me company. Then this weekend it should be fixed. Thank God!

Perhaps I should write a story about it. Just have to make sure it doesn't come out sounding like Cinderella.

How Strange

Could have sworn I had updated here more recently than the 25th of last month but I guess not. Am I dreaming about blogging now? Very strange.

I started working on a new novel this week. It's something I've been toying with for awhile and since nothing else seems to be panning out I figured now was the time to try and get it all out. So far it's been going pretty good, I just have to stop myself from going back to edit when I take breaks from writing.

We recently started cleaning out our storage space and I'm finding all sorts of interesting things. Old notebooks, photos, and of course clothing, movies, and so on that we thought we'd lost a long time ago. Still have quite a few boxes to go through so it will be interesting in what else we find.

So as you can see I've been keeping busy.

This weekend was my birthday and I tried to keep it as mellow as possible. The transition into my mid-late twenties isn't exactly horrible, but I'm not jumping for joy either. There were so many things I thought I would have done by now that sadly I haven't. So on the night before my birthday I made a deal with myself. No more procrastination! It is my downfall and there is no more room in my life for it.

Sticking with this might be hard. It's so easy to tell yourself that you'll do something later and just let yourself be lazy. But if you add laziness to poor time management and you have a disaster on your hands.

So this is a new start. Let's hope it goes better than the last one.

Inspirations and Frustrations

You learn pretty quickly that inspiration can strike at any moment. Which is why it's important to always have something you can write your ideas down on for future reference. Typically I have a notebook somewhere near me, but when out of the house I've used flyers, napkins, receipts, and even my arm once.

Of course there will be a moment when you won't have something to write with or on, and it will bother you to no end when you later try to recall what the hell it was.

Right now I'm in the middle of one of those moments. I had a great idea, or so I thought, really early this morning I couldn't find my notebook and now I can't for the life of me remember more then a few things. So my day is most likely going to be spent doing housework and trying to remember the rest of this stories plot.

Back from nowhere

While juggling everything in my life it seems I once again left this blog unattended. Script Frenzy ended up being a write off this year too. Thankfully it seems things have calmed down so I can focus my energy back on writing.

Here Comes The Sun

Spring seems to have finally come to stay. Being able to sit outside with my laptop and write in the sunshine helps the creativity flow. No more writer's block right now and let's hope that it stays that way.
